FACIAL AND FACIAL PROFILE REJUVENATION SURGERY

As the skin loses elasticity and turgidity becomes flaccid diminishing the support to the various structures of the face (eyebrows, eyelids, cheeks, jaw and neck). Producing a fall of these structures and skin wrinkles.

REQUIREMENTS:

Wash your hair very well before the surgery applying abundant rinse to avoid adheres of the fluids to the hair during surgery.

Brush your teeth thoroughly and then use mouthwash, because by fasting can cause halitosis and these measures are effective to prevent it. To attend a session of hyperbaric chamber before surgery, if possible on the same day, otherwise the day before the surgery.

The facial rejuvenation procedures that are performed dependents on the areas to be addressed as follows:

1. BLEPHAROPLASTY AND EYEBROWS LIFTING (FRONTOPLASTY):

The Blepharoplasty is the surgery to lift the eyelids, dry the skin remaining on them and correct the pockets of fat that accentuate the dark circles and the tiredness appearance in the eyes, the scars are left in the folds of the eyelids and in the edge of the eyelashes, disappearing in the third month. Eyebrows lifting are done through a small incision in the scalp without cutting the hair, and through this incision we manage to raise all the forehead and eyebrows achieving durability in the results sought.

Contraindications:

- Glaucoma
- Dry eye
- Corneal Diseases.

Undesirable effect:

It may appear dry eyes and difficulty to close the eyes in the first three months.

Postoperative Care:

- Use of ointment and eye lubricant cream during 3 months, mostly at bedtime.
- Frosted compresses at all times during the first 48 hours after surgery, taking care not to burn the skin since by effects of anesthesia the patient sensibility is altered.
- Do not receive sun for 6 months. - Stitches are withdrawn in the first week.

2. RITIDOPLASTY:

(face and neck stretching). With this surgery we manage to remove skin excesses and stressing areas such as cheeks, nasogeniano furrow, line of the jaw (which is lost by the accumulation of skin), and bands in the neck. The surgery is performed by incisions around the ear and a small incision under the chin.

Time of convalescence of around one week, which may show intense edema (swelling), may also persist areas of anaesthesia which are only removed about six months, when the final result is outcome.

The first 24 hours a drain is left and the patient must remain under observation (hospitalized the first 12-24 hours after the procedure).

The stitches are removed from between the first and second week. Ideally this procedure is associated with frontoplasty (lifting of eyebrows and forehead) and Blepharoplasty. (See description above.) This procedure is associated with peeling and/or Rhinoplasty (nose surgery) and Mentoplasty (Chin surgery), which fall off and deformed over the years.

Postoperative Care:

- Do not realize activities that require physical effort for a period of 2-4 weeks.
- Do not to receive sun at least in 6 months (Tanned), use sunscreen.
- Attend a minimum of 5 sessions of hyperbaric chamber, the oxygenation therapy reduces the ecchymosis significantly, and improves healing and reduces the time of convalescence minimizing the incidence of complications of the skin.

COMPLICATIONS:

In Ritidoplasty complications can occur as in any surgery and it may have some alterations or local sequels if notorious it can be corrected in a retouching.
